Who is Menina Lisboa?
Hello and welcome!
Menina Lisboa began as a passion project—a mix of my love for colors, patterns, and playful typography. While working on my photography, I found myself spending endless hours experimenting in Photoshop, discovering new techniques, and creating just for the joy of it.
Before long, I opened an Etsy shop with my very first prints, and that small step sparked an endless flow of creativity. By the end of 2013, I knew this project needed a name that truly reflected me. After much thought, Menina Lisboa felt like the perfect fit—a tribute to my deep love for Lisbon. Though I now call the vibrant city of Madrid home, Menina Lisboa remains a part of me, a little piece of my heart in every design.
My illustrations are mainly created for bright and joyful children’s spaces, but I also design artwork for grown-ups, as well as playful stationery for kids’ birthday parties and baby showers. More recently, my passion for patterns has led me into the world of Surface Pattern Design, where you can find my work on textiles and home decor through Textilwerk and Spoonflower.
I find inspiration everywhere—from childhood nostalgia to nature’s soft pastels and bold hues. My goal is to create illustrations that bring warmth, joy, and a little bit of magic to your space.

Thank you for being here—I hope my illustrations bring a little joy to your world!
