I planned this post to be something that would add

I planned this post to be something that would add a personal touch to my feed, and I wanted to make it a “one photo per month in 2024”, in some months it was hard to choose just one, but let’s go anyway!

If this should have been posted on January 1st or 2nd? Sure! But life isn’t always perfect (or ever actually?!) and today is as good of a day as January 1st or 2nd.

We started the year knowing we were about to move, we still had unpacked things from our last move 3 months before, but I was really EXCITED! We packed, we moved and settled! Kids started school and learning Spanish on the go and it was so much fun hearing them starting to speak a language with everyone at school that you as a parent did NOT teach them!

We embraced all the Spanish traditions, mostly the ones typical in Madrid, we celebrated with them, made friends, ate delicious paella cooked by Spanish friends at our house, we died a little during summer here with the heat and drove south to meet the ocean again. We came back, kids started school again, we prepared ourselves for a “little” project we had in mind for 2025, and it was beautiful seeing how Fall/Autumn started to show itself in front of our kitchen window to the park. We worked and worked, while planning things and getting ready for a week and a half off in Portugal to meet with family and friends, celebrate Christmas and say goodbye to 2024.

2024 was a good year. A rollercoaster, but a good year.

Another one for #valentinesday that is around the corner! I love simple things and this #lovecelebration with watercolor hearts was pretty simple to create, but opened up several more chances to create something unique for this upcoming season of love celebration!

Every Fall/Autumn without fail I start my annual rewatch! And I was doing so when I created a collection of illustrations for #valentinesday! And so it only made sense that as an example I used the wedding date of Lorelei and Luke!

NEW PRODUCT ALERT!! For ages I have been wanting to scale my illustration prints business to something else other than just prints.

The truth is I started pretty much in the beginning with throw pillows and some were top best-sellers for me, but after a certain point I wanted to focus on my illustration prints and not on the pillows, so I let those go.

I still have my mind on another product for birthday parties, but for now I finally launched a birthday invitations collection (very small collection!) that I was dreaming about for a couple of months now!

These are editable on @canva and in the end you can either send them to your family and friends or print them (also through Canva or other provider of your choice!).

December was filled with photo shoots (for @hellot

December was filled with photo shoots (for @hellotwiggs) specially on those days right before Christmas. It was lovely to walk around Retiro with several families that were traveling to Madrid for Christmas. I absolutely love this time of the year, specially when it’s cold, but sunny all around!

Going back home after my work was done when the sun was setting and the cold was rising is an absolute bliss for me! It’s peak personal realization!
