So appropriate for today 🌧 there is a new rain art print on the shop and I’m in love with these tones!
.
As a mother of a little girl and a lover of mustard yellow, I often use it on my illustrations and mix it with grey, blue, earthy tones... but even if I tend to create gender neutral pieces, I often think my portfolio lacks something even more gender neutral and/or with darker tones. This color palette was a challenge 💪🏻

I’ll always be touched by the way a woman’s body transforms itself in order to create life. I learned so much about our body and what it endures during pregnancy when I was pregnant with Alice... that I was in constant awe (and not so in awe with the discomfort on those last weeks 😅)
.
Motherhood opened my eyes to a new kind of love, self-knowledge and the fact that I’m actually so much stronger than I thought I was 💪🏻

This illustration is an ode to all that magical act of generating life 🤍

I spotted #drawtheoceans the other day on Oliver Jeffers account (obviously a favorite of mine) and I wanted to join as well!

This is a challenge by @greenpeaceuk to remind us that we need to take better care of our oceans. Living by the sea and being so inspired by nature, I knew I had to take part of this challenge 🐋

I have been feeling inspired by really different t

I have been feeling inspired by really different things lately... you’ll see what I’m talking about in these next few weeks! But this one is one that has been on my mind for several months. However my process is a bit messy, so I never force myself into drawing something if I really don’t feel like it. I may have an idea of the topic, but I know that my inspiration is not “full”, that I need more time. And I just take that time.

Other times though I start with a mental sketch and I just let it evolve. This one took me three different #procreate files until I got to the final version!

This robin is one of my current favorites and you

This robin is one of my current favorites and you would love it too 🤍 and now that the sun is back and spring is in the air, I need to work on the bird feeder for our backyard. I want to capture the other little ones who wander around our olive tree and grass.

Valentine’s Day or just any other Sunday spent t

Valentine’s Day or just any other Sunday spent together 🤍 I’ll confess that I wasn’t that into going to the beach, I felt lazy and wanted a logical reason to stay home instead of going for a walk as we can do even during lockdown.
.
The thing is, we had lousy weather for a couple of weeks and the sun came back two days ago. So the beach was too crowded for our taste and we ended up going for a walk on the rocky area near this beach. There were others there too, but the area is so vast that people would pass “by” us really far away. We were there for an hour or more and it felt so good. The waves were massive, the sun was good, Alice played with rocks, sticks and sand (and found a ladybug on our way to the car) and our dog was also quite happy with the walk!

How’s the weekend going? We are taking it really slow... we managed to get some sun, I did yoga for 1h and now I’m working a little bit! But that’s not what I wanted to tell you...

There’s a new little red 🦊 in the collection! I’m fascinated by these little creatures and I love how this one is surrounded by white flowers 🤍

This week was styling-new-art-prints-week and even

This week was styling-new-art-prints-week and even with a toddler at home (lockdown until the end of March! 😣), I’m managing to do things I usually kept postponing, because of said toddler.

But everything went well so far and I managed to get new prints this week, style them and ship the orders that arrived in the meantime!

We are on the verge of changing so many things in our home... maybe it’s lockdown effects!

I was up until 3am re-arranging my office corner and the shelves above it in our living-room... we are dreaming about a new couch and I can’t decide if we should go in a different direction with our bedroom wall color. I love the blue, but I think it’s maybe too cold?
