The past few days 🧡 we drove to Portugal for a few days off and chose our beloved Cascais area to spend those days. We came with Spanish friends and had a blast sharing with them our favorite spots and how lucky were we to also have the best beach day yesterday? Guincho is always very unpredictable and wind is almost a certainty. Yesterday we had a warm day, no wind, even the water was perfect!

We stayed at @seaya.thoughtfulstays.cascais and had the best time there!

There was also time for some work with a personal branding photo session for @hellotwiggs with @andrea_portugaldeveza and an engagement session.

I go back home with a full heart!

These illustrations are inspired by my own kids, their books, and the chaos in between. We have so many illustration books and I seriously need to control myself from buying more, because… space… though this could be debatable. I feel drawn to some books just by their covers and illustrations, less about the content, I’m afraid. But I’m thrilled when the content matches the illustrations. Anyway, when I draw I try to recreate some bits of stories that pop into my head, though I also have more regular nursery wall art. But I find that clients are also drawn to these, so we’re a match!

Throwback to our trip to the Azores when Laura was tiny and Alice was still apparently just a baby, but to my eyes she was so grown up.   We’re thinking about summer vacations and would LOVE to hear from you? It’s a new month—your walls are ready for something fresh and so this set of daisies might be the perfect choice.

I’m not sure how’s the weather where you live, but around here it’s like we’re stuck on a permanent wet and grey winter (hello?! We’re in Spain, not the Netherlands!). Flowers are growing and they do provide a bit of color, but the weather has been a tad depressing and I say this as a lover of rainy weather.
